Daphne hosted the 2014 Kota Kinabalu Jazz Festival and we are so delighted to have her back to host again!
Daphne Iking is a well-known personality in Malaysia. She started her TV career as a Broadcast Journalist back in 2003 and now boasts a myriad of roles as a TV anchor, producer, scriptwriter, journalist and is an emcee for a variety of shows and events – both corporate and informal.
Daphne has done a variety of TV shows; from Personal Finance to light-hearted Entertainment programs – both live and recorded. She flirts with theatre when time permits, has tried stand-up comedy and fools around with her CDJ Pioneer decks when her fingers musically itch.
She has received notable awards and recognition for her work on TV and Film including the Pelakon Wanita Harapan Filem Festival Malaysia 2010 award for her role in Belukar – a surprise win for her. (She signed on immediately to the movie when she found out that it was going to be filmed at her state of birth, Sabah).
This Sabahan lass is the 2003 winner of the esteemed Unduk Ngadau Pageant and joins the list of other renowned and famous Sabahan personalities who have hosted the KK Jazz Festival, including TV and radio announcer, Serena C.
