Born in Chicago and raised in Singapore, Boston-based Shun Ng (pronounced ‘ing’) is a fingerstyle guitarist, vocalist and acclaimed international performer. Known for his unique and virtuosic style which infuses elements of Soul, Funk, Blues and Jazz, Shun dazzles audiences from all over the world with his flamboyant technique, soulful vocals and hypnotic groove. Today, he stand s as one of the most dynamic and innovative performers, winning accolades from legendary producer, Quincy Jones to fellow fingerstyle virtuoso, Tuck Andress. Shun was also nominated for “International Artist of The Year” for the 2013 & 2014 Boston Music Awards

Chan Wing-Hing (English: Melody Tan, 1993 February 10), born in China Fujian, born in New Zealand, grew up in Malaysia, Malaysia Mandarin female singer, attended in 2014 China’s good voice joined the yang-Kwan Team in the third quarter and won the first runner-up of the yang-Kwan

Melody Tan Yong Xin (born February 10, 1993), is a Malaysian singer who rose to fame after becoming a contestant in the third season of The Voice of China in 2014, where she made it to second place in her team, after Yu Feng.

Sada Borneo

Sada Borneo is a Malaysian band formed in Penang in 2012 and consists of 11 members from different parts of Malaysia. Aspired to create a new sound for Malaysian music and to express the beauty of Malaysia, their music a fusion of traditional, modern, ethnic and nature elements in their music. The band then gained popularity in 2014 after representing Malaysia in AXN’s Asia’s Got Talent.

Sada Borneo was formed out of the friendship between the members have been performing since 2012 in Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM). The meaning behind the name ‘Sada Borneo’ is ‘the sound of Borneo’, borrowing Sarawak’s Iban ethnic word ‘Sada’, which means ‘sound’. The band came up with the name during one of the performances in USM at the last minute before the show started.

Rozella is a singer and songwriter from Borneo. She started pursuing her love for music in 2013 and moved to Kuala Lumpur two years ago.

She was the winner of Tiger Jams 2016 and her previous single ‘Home to You’ was handpicked for an exclusive remix by Scottish synth pop band Chvrches. She is a TEDx speaker, a recipient of the Outstanding Young Person of Sabah Award 2016, and a VIMA Music Awards 2016 nominee. Her music has been featured on national television and radio.

Besides regularly performing and creating music, Rozella is a voiceover artist and a body positive advocate. In 2015, she started a social photography project called True Complexion that aims to raise awareness about different body image issues and medical conditions related to it. Her project was recently chosen by the Prime Minister’s Office to be featured in a special Hari Merdeka series called Cerita Negaraku.

Formerly a 10pc stellar lineup of musical talents that were brought together through their love of music and the art of performing & sustaining Prince’s legacy, this project was started by band leader & music director Sharon Chong and former keyboardist Hiran Benton who came together for their mutual love for the late singer. Now a revamped 9pc band and possibly the first Prince-inspired tribute band in Asia, the band now consists of 3 lead singers : Evelyn Feroza, Jude Bensing, Fuad Alhabshi of Kyoto Protocol, Omar Ibrahim on drums, horn section : Kevin Choo and Khairul Anwar, Dave Kitzkiniki on guitar, Gideon Yogan on bass and Sharon on keys.

The Rainbow Children aspires to be the best Prince-inspired tribute band by paying proper homage to his music and to continue his Purple Reign legacy. The band has performed at renowned entertainment venues in Kuala Lumpur (The Bee Publika, Livehouse KL TREC, No Black Tie and Forbidden City Changkat Bukit Bintang) and in 2017, closing the 11th KK Jazz Festival and ended the year with a memorable performance at Shook! KL. In 2019, the band made their first appearance after a year-long hiatus with a sold-out Valentine’s Day Show called ‘LoveSexy’ at the No Black Tie KL and will be performing for this year’s Borneo Jazz Festival in Miri this coming July 20th followed by the Publika Jazz Festival on the 24th August 2019.

The band shares special chemistry with each member and with that, each performance is remembered by their high energy and entertaining showmanship. Rainbow Children played to full houses and captivated audiences with their electrifying charisma on stage, creating new fans of Prince while true blue Prince fans pack every single Rainbow Children’s shows to relive the Purple Xperience over & over again

Origen (Spain)

The roots of the flamenco art are the foundations that support Origen. The pure elements of a concert of flamenco music are combined with a dance structure on stage, creating a magical audacious and innovative atmosphere, thanks to the relationship between flamenco dance and the rest of the musicians.

Origen takes the public aboard a trip, a journey in life, the life of the artist, which is at the same time, the living history of flamenco.

The old and Deep sound of the flamenco guitar is united in stage to the tradition of the drawer. The characteristic flamenco sound of the flamenco singers, to the fineness of the flute. In Origen the music does not only sound, the music speaks, it lives.

The flamenco dancers have a massive impact on the stage. They are the ones that culminate with the forcé, passion and sweat. This is flamenco, this is the message that Origen want to transmit on stage.

Nafas (Ireland)

Combining pentatonic traditions of the East, Tommee Balukea’s enchanting Kecapi (lap-harp) playing, versatile guitar lines and powerful vocals draw a melodic contrast to Aminah’s urban-influenced toasting and free-style improvisations. Her soulful bluesy tone adds balance and feminine presence to the Nafas project. While contemporary producer and sonic-artist Salim AKA Mr. Upfull’s bass-culture influences add dub-style arrangements, played from a live controller platform. Collectively conjuring a future world-jazz, dub-soul synergy! Nafas the infectious rhythm driven sound sure to move music lovers.

Kangkung Belacan (Malaysia)

Kangkung Belacan is a relatively new jazz ensemble comprising of Alton Wong on the piano, Tan Jen Wei on the double bass, and Adriel Wong on the drums. The trio made their debut performance recently at the 4th Malaysian Jazz Piano Festival, held at the KL Performing Arts Center in January 2017 featuring saxophone virtuoso, Julian Chan and were involved in the Malaysian edition of International Jazz Day at Bobo KL and No Black Tie in April early this year. The trio will be joined by the talented singer, BEZA and jazz violinist, Joanna Ho for the KK Jazz Festival.

Gordon Chin (Malaysia)

Born on March 30, 1990, Gordon Horace Chin is a Malaysian guitarist, singer, songwriter and vlogger, best known for his complex fingerstyle technique, energetic performances and the use of percussive effects on the guitar. Although originally an electric guitar player in several bands and a session player for numerous artists, Gordon has carved out his own style as a solo artist in recent years. After winning the Penang International Fingerstyle Competition 2016 as International Open Champion and landing himself an endorsement deal with internationally acclaimed luthier, Marc Warman under the Lindsay Marcus Guitars Company brand, Gordon is now in high gear to push his career as a solo artist to the next level.

He will be featuring his latest project band, INFINITI, comprising of Aldo Gaisash on Bass, Simon Peter Joimil on keys and Dony Henry on drums.


Good Messenger, the newly founded jazz band in Taipei, Taiwan. Their musical style associates with classical, jazz, blues and gospel. The band consists of the band leader and saxophonist William Chien, pianist Mike Tseng, bassist Kuan-Yen Lu, drummer Yen-Yu Chen and vocalist Lawpaw Buya. All band members are christian and professional musicians, they have performed in the United States, European, Japan and many other countries.


Dominant 5th of Borneo is an energetic pop fusion band based in sabah, Malaysia. Also commonly abbreviated as D50B. They are also influenced by pop fusion bands like Maroon 5, Snarky Puppy and B On It.

D5OB started out as a 5 piece band and the members ate Noel Julian, lead vocal, Nick Arddley Nicholas, keyboardist, Nick Arddley Nicholas, guitarist, Mohd. Shahri Ramli, bassist and drummer, Othniel Luke.

In 2015, DBO5 won first place for Yamaha Band Mentor and represented Malaysia to compete in Asian Beat Competition in Japa. Mentored by the renowned composer, Aubrey Suwito, DBO5 achieved third place in the competition beating against eight other countries.
