Rainbow Children (Malaysia)

Formerly a 10pc stellar lineup of musical talents that were brought together through their love of music and the art of performing & sustaining Prince’s legacy, this project was started by band leader & music director Sharon Chong and former keyboardist Hiran Benton who came together for their mutual love for the late singer. Now a revamped 9pc band and possibly the first Prince-inspired tribute band in Asia, the band now consists of 3 lead singers : Evelyn Feroza, Jude Bensing, Fuad Alhabshi of Kyoto Protocol, Omar Ibrahim on drums, horn section : Kevin Choo and Khairul Anwar, Dave Kitzkiniki on guitar, Gideon Yogan on bass and Sharon on keys.

The Rainbow Children aspires to be the best Prince-inspired tribute band by paying proper homage to his music and to continue his Purple Reign legacy. The band has performed at renowned entertainment venues in Kuala Lumpur (The Bee Publika, Livehouse KL TREC, No Black Tie and Forbidden City Changkat Bukit Bintang) and in 2017, closing the 11th KK Jazz Festival and ended the year with a memorable performance at Shook! KL. In 2019, the band made their first appearance after a year-long hiatus with a sold-out Valentine’s Day Show called ‘LoveSexy’ at the No Black Tie KL and will be performing for this year’s Borneo Jazz Festival in Miri this coming July 20th followed by the Publika Jazz Festival on the 24th August 2019.

The band shares special chemistry with each member and with that, each performance is remembered by their high energy and entertaining showmanship. Rainbow Children played to full houses and captivated audiences with their electrifying charisma on stage, creating new fans of Prince while true blue Prince fans pack every single Rainbow Children’s shows to relive the Purple Xperience over & over again
